Bradbury/Reiter DLI

Kara Bradbury & Isabelle Reiter

Kara Bradbury

Hi! My name is Isabelle Reiter and I grew up in Paris, France. I graduated with a B.A. from the University of Arizona in 2007. I later earned my Masters from Northern Arizona University. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at BPA. I love teaching Kindergarten because I enjoy teaching with songs. My husband Mike and I have two sons, Mark (3) and Charlie (19 months).

It’s going to be a great year full of new friends, fun adventures, and tons of learning. I am so excited to get this year started and learn more about YOU!

Kara Bradbury-
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and let you know a little about whom your child will be spending the next year with. You will get further information about our classroom routines and expectations as we start the year.

I am a native Oregonian and relocated to Phoenix July 2013. While in Oregon I graduated from Portland State with my Bachelors degree and Concordia University with my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I have also attended University of Portland for many post grad credits. I taught kindergarten for 12 years and 5th grade 1 year. I have always taught in schools with a bi-lingual program and am a big advocate for dual language.

I just had my first baby in April. I was lucky enough to have the end of last year, the summer and the first 6 weeks of this school year to spend with our daughter. I am so happy that Mrs. Gooden (former 4th grade teacher) will be taking my maternity leave for the beginning of this year. She is an amazing teacher and I have no doubt she will get the kiddos ready for my return on September 17thI look forward to being your partner as we work together to support your child on this big transition.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Leaving your little one the first day may be difficult (especially if they cry, or you for that matter) but I promise they are in good hands and the sooner you leave the faster they will adjust. I’ve seen many panicked children on the first day and they all survived!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Kendall Gooden and I will be Substituting for Ms. Bradbury this fall while she is on maternity leave! I will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies to your kindergartener until mid September. This is my 5
th year at BPA and 8th year teaching!

I grew up in Irvine, California and lived in Southern California until I moved to Arizona in 2014. I currently live in Scottsdale with my husband Chris and we are expecting our first child this October! I received my Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) in 2010 and my Masters of Arts, Reading Instruction in 2013 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family.
