Biltmore Prep Spanish Performance Towards Proficiency Grade Level Targets:

The following are targets for students in the Biltmore Prep Dual Language Immersion Program. The American Council for Teachers of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) has established descriptors for each level of language called the Proficiency Guidelines (https://www.actfl.org/publications/guidelines-and-manuals/actfl-proficiency-guidelines-2012). These descriptors are available for Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing. When students understand these proficiency levels, they learn to self-evaluate, to set goals and to take responsibility for their language proficiency growth. There are higher targets beyond high school as acquiring proficiency in another language can be a lifelong process.
